Thank you for joining our fight against hunger.
For one in five West Aussies they can’t access enough food to satisfy their hunger ghrelin.
Thanks to your support we can help ensure we get food to those who need it most. For every dollar donated we can provide 2 meals.
What is our hunger ghrelin? When our stomachs are empty our body produces a hormone called ghrelin. This little hunger hormone increases our appetite and lets our brain know that it’s time to eat. You can’t see it, but you can feel it. The longer you go without eating, the more ghrelin is released, making you feel hungrier and hungrier. The only way to reduce your ghrelin is to eat. It is normal to feel hungry, but for some people who don’t have food, their hunger doesn’t go away.
Thanks to your support you have helped change that.
You can also help by sharing our Hunger Ghrelin website on your social media.
